Dear Messenger,

I was pleased to see the picture of four smiling policemen in your last issue. Hopefully a greater police presence would lead to less crime. This was, however, offset by the number of cars parked on double yellows outside the bus stop and past the island on the main road and another on the pavement directly behind the police officers. Start as you mean to carry on I say i.e. turning a blind eye.
