Remember giving blood?


The National Blood Service are looking for local donors who first began donating in either 1952 or 1972 to join them for two special anniversary celebrations later in 2002. Even if you have recently had to give up donating blood - for whatever reason - they still want to hear from you. 

Donors most important
Blood donors are the most important part of the National Blood Service's work, helping them to collect the 10,000 units of blood they need every day. That's why they hope to involve as many of their long-standing volunteers as possible in the forthcoming events. 

Share your experiences
They would also like to hear from local people who have received blood or blood products in the past, and who are prepared to share their experiences with others.
