Tasting the fruits of success

This month there were celebrations at Owler Brook School and at the Somali Community Centre as it won a years reprive. Our arts pages are full of upcoming events and the education section has news of summer activities for young people. We've been given funding for this and an August issue, so it's not goodbye just yet, hope to see you at the Messenger stall at the Abbeyfield Festival

The Abbeyfield Festival is nearly upon us and you can get your dancing shoes on at the ski slope or SADACCA for the Jam Down Fiesta 2002, celebrating 40 years of Jamaican independence, while The Tower tells of prisoners walking to Wakefield in the 1800's.

 

Owlerbrook is a Beacon to the Nation! and we're nearly there for a sixth form. There are new chances to learn and there's a cash bonanza for summer activities as well as new training courses.

We interview the new Boss for the New Deal in Burngreave, and this months New Deal pages explain what's going on? While BCAT face closure the New Deal are consulting about who should become the delivery agency.
