Thinking about Volunteering?

‘Do IT Locally’ is a new project from Voluntary Action Sheffield, which aims to promote volunteering more widely around the city. The project is setting up 30 computer points in communities so people can access the National Volunteering Database, on the ‘do it’ website. One of the points is located at Burngreave Ethnic Network on Verdon Street.

Volunteering can give you work experience, improve your job prospects or help get onto a course. Opportunities from advice work and practical tasks to campaigning and being on a committee. Use any skills you already have or develop new ones. Get training and support in how to carry out your role. 
Volunteer once a month or at times to suit you. Meet lots of new people too.
