Goodbye WoodsideIt is finally confirmed that the City Council wants to demolish most of the Housing on Woodside. The estate was built in the 60’s on the model of an Italian hill village. A Council report will recommend demolition of all maisonettes and flats, except Nottingham Cliff and Rock Street although these may be included too later. 'Demolition is confirmed for the maisonettes and flats on Pye Bank Road, Gray Street, Andover Drive, Fox Street, Andover Street and Pye Bank Drive. Those on Rock Street will stay up, no bungalows are being demolished and there will be more consultation on Nottingham Cliff. A city-wide survey on non-traditionally built property by independent company Saville, will take place before a decision is made on the wavy-roof houses. A cabinet report is due for release which could confirm how the land will be used after the demolition.'
