Residents take over crime group
On Tuesday May 21st the New Deal for Communities Crime theme group meeting was overturned by the forty or so residents who attended.
The meeting was to have discussed commuity involvement in managing the 6 police offers funded by New Deal money. Instead people opted to debate the recent spate of violent drugs related crime in the area.
A part of the community's reaction to these crimes, it was reported that a public meeting is to be called at SADACCA on Sunday night 26th May between 6pm and 8pm.
All Burngreave residents were invited to attend. The Messenger understand that senior police officers will also be in attendence.
